This week’s chef notes:
Harissa is a North African spice condiment made from red chilies, garlic, olive oil, citrus, and spices. If you can’t find it, or prefer to use what’s on hand, whatever hot sauce you have in the house will do the trick. Tabasco, sriracha, sambal oleck, chilli bean paste or korean Gochujang will all provided the spicy kick similar to harissa. Just be sure to adjust amount depending on spice level of your chosen condiment.
You can substitute another seasonal vegetable for the broccolini on the pizza. Aspagagus, summer squash, or cherry tomatoes would all be delicious.
